Endowment Sponsors
Endowment Sponsors are the lifeblood of the NMOC Foundation for
Education and Research… An Endowment sponsor commits to
fund the endowment fund by matching dollar for dollar the donations
received by the Foundation for a specific time frame of twelve
consecutive months up to a certain dollar limit.
For a Gold sponsor the limit is $50,000, for Silver it is $20,000,
and for Bronze it is $10,000. The foundation will track donations
by quarter and will bill the sponsor for the matching dollars made
to the Foundation each quarter up to the limit of the sponsorship.
The endowment fund is never used to fund actual programs, only
the interest earned on the endowment fund; this way the Foundation
will always have funds to promote public awareness and education
programs that support damage prevention efforts in the state. The
goal is to achieve $3-5 million dollars in the endowment fund over
the long term.
Sponsors receive some unique benefits for supporting the endowment
fund. Firstly, the Foundation reports on its activities to
the Public Regulation Commission each year and we highlight the
program sponsors. Secondly, sponsors get their name or name and
logo displayed on all pamphlets, brochures, and other promotion
materials; in the case of a Gold Sponsor, the name and logo are
prominently displayed. Thirdly, sponsors get to appoint representative(s)
to the Foundation Congress, the volunteer
organization which helps the Foundation solicit funds, develop
programs, and administer grants to participants enacting the programs.
